Framed by dense rainforest, layers of moss and foliage draw the eye inward, while the flowing water creates a gentle sense of depth and rhythm throughout the scene.
The sound reaches you before the water does — a low, continuous thunder absorbed by the forest.
Light struggles through the canopy, dissolving into mist as it meets the falling water. Up close, the air turns cold, the ground slick, the outside world abruptly irrelevant. Conversation becomes impossible; the falls erase it.
This work was made during a narrow break in heavy rain, when runoff swelled the flow and the forest floor released the scent of wet leaf litter and stone.
Part of an ongoing exploration of subtropical rainforest environments where scale, sound, and humidity overwhelm human presence.
Produced using archival, museum-quality materials, each piece is crafted to retain its tonal richness and detail for years to come.
